Washington, D.C. - During his confirmation hearing before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee today, Energy Secretary-Designate Chris Wright outlined his priorities to deliver American energy dominance. Lowering costs, stopping billions in controversial green loans, and unleashing domestic energy sources were all discussed by Mr. Wright. Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future was at today's hearing offered the following statement:
Albuquerque – In just over a week, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham will deliver her 7th State of the State address and this year Power The Future is asking her to make one small change. During her time in office, New Mexico’s state budget is up nearly 75 percent and will likely grow again this year. It’s clear the Governor has enjoyed spending billions upon billions in new revenue delivered by New Mexico’s oil and natural gas workers. And not one time in her State of the State remarks has she ever expressed gratitude to New Mexico’s energy workers.
In a full page ad yesterday, Power The Future printed an open letter to the Governor asking her to simply say “Thank You” to the state’s oil and natural gas workers.
Washington, D.C. - According to reports out today, President-Elect Donald Trump’s picks to lead his energy agenda will receive confirmation hearings next week. In response, Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future issued the following statement:
Washington, D.C. - As millions of Americans endure frigid temperatures during a brutal cold snap, the Biden Administration is doubling-down on green policies driving up energy costs and making it harder for families to stay warm. These latest actions prove Joe Biden is working overtime to ensure his assault on American energy continues as he gets ready to leave office.
“As Americans face bone-chilling temperatures, Joe Biden is working overtime to make energy more expensive and less reliable,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “Voters soundly rejected the Biden energy agenda at the ballot box, but he pushes ahead with new rules proving that he never cared for working Americans. From banning offshore drilling to forcing families to replace their water heaters, Joe Biden’s green dream is a nightmare for families.”
Washington, D.C. - According to Bloomberg news, President Joe Biden is preparing to issue a new order banning additional offshore oil and gas development. According to the report, Biden will seek to permanently close off areas for drilling in an effort to complicate energy policy for President Trump. In response, Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future issued the following statement:
Washington, D.C. - Today, Power The Future unveiled its comprehensive 2025 Energy Policy Roadmap aimed at achieving U.S. energy dominance. As a leading advocate for American energy workers, Power The Future is launching this bold initiative to serve as a strategic blueprint to return our country to energy independence and set the stage for achieving energy dominance. There is no doubt domestic energy production is critical in bolstering economic growth, safeguarding national security, and reinforcing environmental responsibility.
PTF Calls on Congress to Investigate Biden’s Lame Duck Loans
Washington, D.C. - Down to nearly the last month of their term, the Biden Administration is handing out a record $15 billion loan to a California utility. The low-interest loan will reportedly go to fund more green energy projects in the state. However, California’s current years-long push toward renewables has already given the state the dubious distinction of the highest power bills in the nation.
Albuquerque – Fueled by the state’s oil and natural gas industry, the latest revenue numbers show an additional $892 million for New Mexico’s annual budget this year. The new revenue forecast predicts about $13.6 billion budget for the state, representing a nearly 75 percent increase since 2019.
“Christmas arrives early again thanks to New Mexico’s oil and gas workers, but let’s hope leaders in Santa Fe don’t keep all the presents to themselves again this year,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Leader for Power The Future. “Over the last five years of this boom, Santa Fe politicians have ballooned their own budgets, taken expensive foreign junkets, and partied on the back of the state’s oil and gas producers - all while supporting policies intended to decimate the industry. This year, New Mexico’s families deserve to directly share in this wealth and our energy workers deserve a long-overdue THANK YOU from Santa Fe.”
